Day 12: Thankful for Loving Grandparents
Wow this topic just made me just a little bit emotional, so I'm gonna keep it nice and short. But I am grateful for all my sets of grandparents and the "rocks" they have been in my life. When I look back at all the things that I have benefited from them still to this day, I just see and can feel their unconditional love for me. I am indeed still reaping their blessings as their posterity. I have been blessed to be born into such ancestry. Rich Gospel roots were instilled at such a young age that I can feel it portrude even through my own soul and life. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa! I love you with all my heart and will strive to be there in the same place as you because I know you guys made it to the tippity top. I love you and miss you.
Day 11: Tupou
Tupou--- my brother from anotha mother!!! hahahahaha Man I just am so grateful for my little broskie because without him in my life I wouldn't have a little brother!!! Thank you Pou for always being the hardworker I can depend on. YOu are a smart young man and I know that you'll always end up making the right decision. Im grateful for all your crazy protective ways when it comes to the 2 little girls. YOu really have been their older brother in a sense, even though you're younger than val and only a little bit older than pooh. Thank you for loving all of us like we came from the same parents. Thank you for loving your mom.. I love my Aunty Lulu so thank you for stepping in and being the priesthood holder in her life. Pou you're gonna make an amazing missionary and father one day! I love you!
Day 10: Umata o' Manoa AKA Pooh-Bear!! haha
Pooh-Bear--- what to say about my little sis.. hahahaha well.. first off she for SURE IS THE BABY of the family.. hahaha Which I am grateful because I would not want to be the baby, so thank you poopie!! hahaa Also i'm grateful for her happy little face. always willing to give a smile.. I'm grateful for her friendship in my life. I'm thankful that she is Valeaki's bff haha even though they fight and may seem like they don't get along they do! I'm grateful that they are close and will always have each other.. love my little sister to death and happy i get to spoil her STILL.. hahaha love you pooh bear

Day 8: Keakalina
Keakalina--- What to say, what to say... well FIRST off this sister is FOR SURE one of my best friends. She is always the one that I care to talk to just to talk to. She is the one i feel in my "later" years I have become so CLOSE TO its unbelieveable. She's the one i see MOST things eye to eye on between any of my siblings.. but what i am MOST THANKFUL for when it comes to keaks is that she WITHOUT a DOUBT loves the hardest. She loves all of us siblings in ways that NONE of us can comprehend. She's the quiet ones with her thoughts and her ponderings and for that I am grateful for, and I try to incorporate that into my own daily life. She truly is the BEST SISTER anyone could ask for. I'm so happy she's home from her mission now, and I'm able to talk to her whenever I feel like it.. hahahaa She's definitely cray cray #2 sister.. hahahahaah and then i'm cray cray #3.. it goes in order from G to pooh.. hahahahahahahaa Since her mission what I have been most grateful for is her constant studying and constant yearn for knowledge STILL even after the mission.. very impressive... LOVE HER to KOLOB and back...
Day 7: Vaingamalie & Carissa
Vaingamalie--- what to say about vainga... "WE ARE NOT THE SAME" hahahahaa ONLY him and my siblings will know what that means to me.. but anyways When it comes to vainga I know he is always the voice of reason spiritually for me.. Thats predicated on one thing-- if he's in a SERIOUS MOOD he is the voice of reason spiritually.. Because when he wants to be annoying and egg you on.. o HE'LL DO JUST THAT.. hahaa But in all seriousness him and his wife have really taught me SOOOO MUCH.. me and max have learned so much about marriage, the gospel, true doctrine, and unconditional love from Carissa and Vainga together.
Carissa--- will always hold a special part in my heart. She's a fighter. She's the mother to my FAVORITE NIECE... :) and I will always see her as this strong willed Daugher of God. I only hope I can get on her level some day, and endure all the things she has endured thus far in her life. Thank you for loving my crazy brother and for always being a sister from another mister I can lean on.. LOVE you carissa!!!

Day 6: David & Melissa
David--- in my childhood years the NUMBER ONE thing I could always count on him was getting up to take me to Achievement days saturday mornings WITHOUT BEING GRUMPY.. Now all you people who know me and my siblings is that WE ARE NOT MORNING people.. so trying to get a HAPPY person to take me to Achievement days was a REAL STRUGGLE in my wittle life.. hahaha But now that we are older, what I am MOST GRATEFUL for is his constant advice and counsel eduacationally and financially to my husband. He will never know how much that free knowledge has made me forever indebted to him. LOVE MY BIG BRO
Melissa--- WOW... thank you for being the ONLY WOMAN that can love my BIG BRO for who he is!!! You are really are my bros "ride or die" chick. You have continuously surprised me with the amount of things you learn... I am so grateful that you have totally and utterly embraced my brother's tongan culture and taught my nephews tongan. YOu are for REALS the #1 mom of the year. I know how much you must put aside your wants to make your boys happy (and yes david is considered one of your boys to me haha). You're the best hair braider and I'm grateful you love me and my sisters like we all came from the same parents!!! LOVE YOU LISS...

Day 5: Gaynor
Gaynor--- what I am MOST GRATEFUL for when it comes to my big sis, is her THOUGHTFULNESS and PROTECTIVE side. I remember when she went away to college she would send me stuff on my birthday, and I thought I was so cool and would wear these 2 dresses she got me all the time and tell all my friends my sister in COLLEGE got me these dresses. In all the things she's gone through she is ALWAYS there for me and would PUNK a NIGGA if they ever tried to hurt me.. she's the #1 CRAY CRAY girl in our fam!! hahahaa LOVE IT!!!
Day 4: Grateful for my SIBLINGS
Man what I would do without my SIBLINGS??---probably go CRAZY!! hahaha But seriously!!! They have without a doubt all turned into MY BEST FRIENDS.. They are the ones that ONLY understand my ramblings about my parents.. hahaah they are the ONLY ones I can just tell like it is (besides max)... they are the ONES that I lean on almost 100% of the time when it comes to moral support, financial support, emotional support. These next few days will be dedicated to my SIBLINGS. :)
Day 3: Grateful for my Parents
Wowwww.. what to say and how I'm grateful for my PARENTALS haha... Honestly there's just so much... Lets start off with mi mama
My mom, is the type of Mom that would DO ANYTHING for kids over herself. How beneficial that is for us and growing up--irrelevant to her.. hahaha she just LOVES us too much and LOVES her kids the same way. As much as me and my sisters all have our little jokes about her, she really will stick to her guns no matter what. And what I do know about mom and what I'm grateful for, is that she has always had a Testimony of the Gospel and of our Savior Jesus Christ. Never once in my upbringing have I ever seen or witnessed my mom "fail" in her faith. No really, now that I am thinking about it, i HONESTLY haven't. She has always been steadfast in what she knows to be true and what her own upbringing has allowed her to see.
My mom is for sure OLD SCHOOL... like the old school if you talk back or sass her, she DOES NOT have a problem with whooping your beHIND... hahahahaha but then she's that OLD SCHOOL parent that after she done spanked you she'll come in to your room and say sorry and explain what she did was wrong but that she loved me and FORCES me to hug her.. hahahahahahHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH so true on so many different levels. And maybe people that are reading this are thinking--"Why does this girl love her mama if she got spanked growing up?" And honestly what I say to those peeps out there... It is what it is. haha as ugly as that sounds but its true... My mom and dad grew up in a very hands on disciplinary childhood, they taught the way they knew, and me as an individual today I feel my childhood as groomed me to be the WOMAN I am, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think i'm PRETTY AWESOME!! hahahaaha :) So Right or wrong what they did, I NO CARE.. hahaha cause I love my life, loved my childhood, and loved my PARENTS! Now on to my pOPS!!
My dad... He is DEFINITELY my mom's soul mate.. hahahaha but seriously.. He is one of the most hardworking people I know, never in my childhood did I think my dad couldn't get me whatever I wanted. Even if my mom told me I couldn't get it. hahahaha I knew if I asked my dad he would get it for me. He has worked hard enough and long enough where us children have been able to produce MANY TALENTS.. He is one of the most laid back people I know and I love him for it. I'm grateful for the life he was able to give us. I'm grateful for the priesthood that he holds. And I'm grateful that I'm his FAVORITE!! NO really I AM HIS FAVORITE!!! hahaahaha NO matter what any of my other siblings think.. haha
In the end what I'm truly grateful for that my parents did and am eternally indebted to them is 1. bringing me into this world-- THANK YOU for not stopping after keaks.. hahaah and 2. I am grateful for their CONSTANT effort to put the Gospel first. I truly was raised in a home with Goodly Parents. And was raised in the Gospel.
Thank you mama and pops.
Love the BEST DAUGHTER IN THE WORLD-- me: the BEST tafuna MOALA ever!

Day 2: Thankful for my HUSBAND
Sooooooooooooooo THANKFUL for the man I married, we have been through SOOOOOO much in our short marriage of 2 and a half yrs! I'd be lying if I said life was PEACHY 24/7... HAHAHAHAHA Because us married folk just KNOW, that statement is NOT TRUE! BUT what I can say that would be a true statement is that we LOVE EACHOTHER thru and thru...
Even those days when I'm like, "Really dude!!! You just NEVER learn!" hahahaa I know even on those days we love eachother like a fat kid LOVES his cake when he's DIETING hahahaha NOW THAT IS ALOT!!! hahaha
I'm grateful for his calm composure when I'm all kinds of cray cray, like for reals when i'm "cold blodded" (thats what he calls me sometimes, and im like YUPP THATS RIGHT I AM COLD BLOODED SO WHY YOU BE MESSIN WITH ME!-- TOLD YOU im CRAY CRAY hahaha).
Anyways, I'm grateful for him TRYING to do whats right constantly. I'm grateful for his dedication in all the things in his life: family, church callings, school work, football, etc. I can see his HARD WORK IN SCHOOL really paying off!!
I'm grateful for his love that he shows me. One thing I know for sure about my husband is that I'm his "ride or die" chick!!! hahahaahahaha Love his ghetto little ways. And at the same time love his anal little nerdy ways. If you can imagine that coexists in one person.. haha
I'm just grateful for his sappy little sayings like "we're soul mates hun" and i'm looking at him like dude you're such a girl, but inside I'm all kinds of happy because he says these sappy little stuff. hahahahaaha IT'S GREAT!! haha i LOVE that he still opens and closes my door after 2 yrs of marriage, everyone always told me that stuff would go away after a few months and still to this day my husband is doing it and I know he will for the rest of his life!! hahahaha or I'll cut him!! hahahaah TOTALLY KIDDING.. kinda.. hahahaha JK.. the people that really know me, know HOW i'm saying this.. hahaha so all you people that randomly stumble upon this blog may just think i am some crazy lady.. but i'm really not.. well not TOTALLY crazy HAHAHAHA man i am craccking myself up righ tnow.. hahhaha
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that he is a brother to my brothers. IF that even makes sense. If you can see my brothers with Max you would think they all came from the same parents (not cause they look the same haha) BUT because they ALL joke the same and are INTERESTED in the same things. I absolutely LOVE seeing him be so comfortable with them and truly treat them like the brothers that are to each other!! it's AMAZE BALLS!! hahaha
LAST but not LEAST I LOVE HIS TESTIMONY. I love that he served an honorable 2 year mission in the Carribean and he came away from it "converted" to this Gospel. He really is just a great man and has overcome so much!! He honors his Priesthood, and DOES NOT take for granted that he is able to be Temple Worthy. I am grateful he made him self the kind of man that could take me to the temple so we could be married for all time and eternity.
All in all, I love my husband James Mangisi Moala aka MAX haha he's my partner in crime, the daddy to our 2 dogs hahahaa and the LOVE OF MY LIFE.. i love you FOOL!!! hahahaaha

Day 1: Grateful for the Atonement and this Gospel
So I'm back at it again with the blogging. Hopefully I can keep up with it and get my 2 followers an update haha
Starting my "Days of Thanking", (not sure if that's what it's called, but I'm calling it this).
I really am grateful for my testimony in this Gospel, and I'm grateful for the fact that I have felt the atonement work in my life specifically and been able to recognize that it is the Atonement, the gift given to me by my older brother Jesus Christ. If it wasn't for this Gospel, my Savior, and my Heavenly Father, I know for a surety I wouldn't be as happy as I am now. This statement gives me the confidence, the will power to overcome great trials and small battles in my own personal life.
I thank my parents for introducing me to this wonderful Gospel.
And thats that. :)

Reasons
Soooo since I have been getting private lessons from Carissa Pututau on how to work my blog, I have learned some pretty nifty stuff on here---like choosing a background.. and the reason I chose this background is because of the red!!! hahahahaa GOOOO UTES!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA jk.. I'm not a fanatic of the Utah Utes BUT I am the biggest fan of this guy named MAX MOALA!!! hahaha And sooooooooooo the REASON I chose Utah colors is because this is my husband's last year playing for the University of Utah Utes and I FULLY SUPPORT him!!! hahaha I also do like this background in general. hahahaha
BUT ANYWAYS.. I hope you guys like how technology savvy I'm starting to get!! This will start to get a little bit more interesting.. hahah just a little though.. haha

our little MONSTER
Sooooo while trying to figure out what to write about, all I could think of is our new puppy Ebony and how NAUGHTY he is!! So then a huge LIGHT BULB went off in my head and I thought, "DUH!! I'll write about Ebony!"
Ebony, Ebony, Ebony what a SMART slash SURPRISINGLY LOUD slash MISCHIEVOUS slash HYPER slash NAUGHTY slash BEST MATE FOR IRIE all wrapped up in one!! Ebony is all of this and MORE if you can fathom. He is honestly just what we and Irie needed. With my new job, I was gone for ALOT longer than when I was teaching. And Max's football schedule is always BUSY, but with him nearing the end of his undergrad life his classes are getting harder, more time consuming, which means LESS time at home to be with Irie or ME for that matter. So anyways with all that we were leaving Irie home alot more by herself and feeling SOOOOO GUILTY!!!
Well at least I was, Max thought it was no big deal, and I'm sitting here telling him, you try staying in a house by yourself for 9 hours without anything to entertain you day after day!!! hahahaha I mean its not like Irie can just turn on the tv, surf the Internet, or chat it up with someone on the phone to keep her busy, she NEEDS interaction, like any other dog. Sooo yaaa we were on the hunt looking for another DOG not puppy BUT full grown DOG because if anything we did not have time for the puppy stage that consisted of potty training.
Soooo one day I was at work and my sister Gaynor calls me and a co worker picks up because I was in the bathroom. I come back to my desk and Teresa (co worker) said, "You're sister called and said it was an emergency! Take all the time you need for it." I was like WHAT THE HECK!! Called Gaynor thinking, "O my gosh who died or is REALLY hurt in our fam?" and what does she do when she picks up she says, "WHAT UP NIGGY??!!" From that comment I knew nothing was wrong hahaha Come to find out, she just was wondering if we would like to take her puppy that she got for Christmas and HONESTLY it was the BEST blessing in disguise because then Ebony stays in the family and we get a playmate for Irie.
Soooo in that, my family brought Ebony up to Utah with them when they came down for Saane's wedding in May. And since then Ebony has really learned the ropes in the house. He knows how to use the doggy door, get what he wants when he wants, sleep in his crate all night long, potty trained, and knows how to FIGHT with me. Me and Ebony have our differences. hahaha Lets just say he doesn't OBEY me on EVERYTHING like Irie does sooo we FIGHT.. hahahahaa
I'm one of those dog owners that expect obedience out of their dogs and realize that not EVERYONE loves dogs like I do, so i expect them to not jump on people when they come to our house and do things out of line and I expect them to listen to me when people come over and when i say NO or DOWN i MEAN IT!! But man Ebony!!! He does none of that!! He is gonna need ALOT of work and I'm gonna need to take him to obedience school.. He truly needs it. hahahha
BUT at the same time I love that dog!!! hahahaha He really makes me laugh and has the cutest little face and when he wants to cuddle and sit on your lap or have you carry him, he wants to be held like a baby (SUPER ridiculous, BUT super CUTE). Soooo all in all our little monster is 8 pounds of curly brown/black hair and WE LOVE HIM!! hahahah
Til next time

WEEKEND fun!!
Well folks the weekend was a success!!! Even though I wasn't able to go to Jake Murphy's wedding last weekend (cause i snoozed the whole night all the way to the morning) and experience my first palangi wedding, this weekend I was able to!! Thank goodness for Max and all his friends getting married. hahaha
SO yes, I experienced my FIRST palangi wedding, from what I can recall. And it was SUPER RITZY!!! It was up at a venue called La Caille, and man I swear I felt like I was in a movie or something. hahaha There were waiters everywhere with Hors D Oeuvrse and all this other stuff that I've never seen or tasted. Soo yaaaa it was really DIFFERENT!!! But from the conversation I had with Max, he said not most palangi weddings are like that, sooo I'm thinking, dang these palangis are ALL over the place!! hahaha jk... Love my Palangis!! Hello I'm a quarter palangi sooo its all good!!
Anyways it was fun, and I need to do better with this blogging stuff, wish me luck :)

my QUEST begins AGAIN
So since I know it is just family that follows me on here, my other blog that was attached to my toeumutafuna@gmail.com account is officially DELETED!! And so is that email!! Sooo please do not email that address!! If you are fam and close friends, I have already sent out an email to you guys that has my correct email address now hahaha
So anyways, I started off with goals for the summer, and one of the important ones that I wanted to be sure I did was officially become Toe'umu Moala in the temporal world, already have it squared away with the church since day 1, but figured after 2 years and 2 dogs later probably best to hurry and jump on the band wagon of becoming the MRS to my MR.. :)
Sooooo I sat down and figured out all the stuff I had to change over and it became a bit on the overwhelming side, so I decided on what things were easy and didn't need legal verification for me to change, and the email was one of those and easy to do. So i DID IT.. no use sitting on it thinking one day its just gonna happen, so I did it all yesterday, while my office had a SLOW day.
I also changed my stuff here at work, that didn't need legal verification like my electronic signature at the end of my emails, my name thing on my desk, my email account, so on and so forth. At first I thought, "NO big deal, I mean everyone at church calls me Sis. Moala, this won't be hard at all, besides the paperwork of changing it. (knew that was gonna be time consuming and hard)" But as the day went on and everything started changing from Tafuna to Moala I did start to get a little nostalgic and not sad per say, but definitely like, "wow, this is a weird feeling." Didn't know exactly what I was feeling, but it is DIFFERENT. I guess everyone goes through that when they first are in the beginning of their marriage, but this gal never did.. hahaha So I'm feeling it now, 2 years later hahahaha
Which for the record I am TOTALLY okay with. I am proud and happy to be my Husbands wife and to carry his last name!! Is it hard to come to grips with?-- HECK YES!! But is it something I want?? big YESS!!So here's to my quest and journey in the summer of becoming on PAPER and documented EVERYWHERE Toe'umu Tafuna Moala!!! Can't let go of my maiden name just yet hahaha I'll get there someday or not.. I mean my mom does still introduce herself as Marguerite Wolfgramm Tafuna... Must be the German side in us TOO STUBBORN!! hahaha
I wish I wasn't working at a high school when we first got married because then I would have done it right away. But with teaching Secondary Education and the changing of names and going through all the clearances with the new last name LITERALLY would have paused my work and put me on delay. And what married couple when they first get married ain't BROKE!!?? Okay maybe not all start out broke, but shoots we were!!! and so because of that we both decided it was more feasible to just keep my maiden name until after my secondary education teaching days were over and now that they are, this is what I am left with!! hahahaha a whole bunch of weird feelings, nostalgic moments, and lots of red tape to sort through!! hahahaha WOOHOO for me!!! LOVE it!! and can't wait til its all over and done with!!
Well thanks for keeping updated with us and our life!! love you all and til next time TATA for now!!!
